Short Term/ COVID-19 Trends For The Rest of 2020

Many new trends moving forward will, of course, be caused directly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are some trends moving forward highlighted by todays global climate.

– A new pool of cannabis users emerge

It’s no secret that COVID-19 has caused increased stress and anxiety in populations around the world. Because of this, people are likely to be open to alternative ways of coping with those stresses such as consuming THC products. People who have never tried consuming cannabis before may be more willing to try it or at least consider it for the first time.

– Diversity among new cannabis users

With an increased population using cannabis, it’s likely that population will be more diverse. Considering the widespread lockdowns more people from every type of demographic are likely to turn to cannabis.

– Wider variety of cannabis related products

If there’s one thing that COVID-19 couldn’t stop, it’s the constant innovation coming from all types of communities. This includes the development and creation of new, exciting cannabis products as people naturally will be searching for new ways to get high. The brand Evolve offers an incredible product called nanosphere, a THC infused topical serum. Although its purpose isn’t to produce a “high,” this product uses an efficient delivery system to help with body pain. We can expect more innovations like nanosphere to come to market in the coming months/years.

– A spike in the use of flower

Some things never change. That includes the use of cannabis in its most traditional form, which is smoking flower. During trying times, it seems the saying, “we are creatures of habit” rings true. Flower has never been more sought after, and the demand is expected to keep climbing as we continue to navigate the pandemic.
